Spelbeschrijving
This is a much improved and polished sequel to The Dungeons of Grimlor. The dragon Grimlor has been defeated in the first game, but is now resurrected as a lich and poses an even greater threat. The player controls Sir Merdimik, the hero of the first game and the champion tasked with putting an end to Grimlor's evil schemes.
The game plays very much like the original Dungeons of Grimlor: the player explores vast mazelike levels split into a multitude of screens filled with monsters, traps, treasure and secret passages. However, the second game has a lot of quality-of-life improvements (such as the ability to set game speed via a menu and permanently save that setting), and introduces new and more cunning traps, enemies and other hazards. This is definitely the version to play.
The Dungeons of Grimlor II was originally sold as shareware per the Apogee model, with the first episode out of three being available for free. Eventually, author John A. Reder declared the whole trilogy freeware.
