Spelbeschrijving

The Crown of Gold is a Sierra Entertainment-style point-and-click adventure game about a privateer crew of former pirates commanded by Peter Williams a.k.a. Pete. The game starts as the privateer's ship has taken some beating after a small skirmish, supplies and water have run out, and a potentially hostile ship is looming on the horizon.

As is standard for the genre, you, as captain Pete, will need to explore the ship, talk to other characters, collect and use items, and solve puzzles to get the crew out of this predicament. The art is fairly decent and the characters look like they could have come out of a Sierra or LucasArts game. However, some items seem to lack descriptions for the "look at" action, even if these items can be interacted with.

The game was released as freeware. There appears to be no sound effects or music.
