Spelbeschrijving
Franko: The Crazy Revenge takes the plot of an 80s martial arts movie and places it in the setting of post-Communist Poland. Two friends, Alex and Franko, live in the port city of Szczecin, train in martial arts and take up the role of local vigilantes. One day, they run into a vile gang of thugs that badly beats up Franko and kills Alex. Franko vows revenge, and the whole game is about him enacting it, one thug at a time.
The game plays like a typical beat-'em-up: your character walks across the screen from the left to the right, moving between predefined points where fights take place. Once all baddies have been roughed up, you can proceed to the next portion of the level, until you reach the end of the stage. Various hits and combos can be performed by pressing the directional buttons and the attack key, but some of the moves have their own keys on the keyboard as well. You can play as either Franko or Alex.
Franko: The Crazy Revenge was first released for the Amiga and then ported to DOS, and developed quite a cult following in Poland. The DOS version was made available as a free download by publisher Mirage Software sometime in the early 2000s. A word of warning, this game contains excessive violence, so please play at your own discretion. This game is completely unsuitable for children!
